Before you set off make sure you have the following packed in your car:
- Shovel
- At least one of the below
- Winter Tyres
- Good Snow Chains
- Good Snow Socks
It’s essention that you only follow the route opposite from Daddry Shield. Do not attempt the road from Teesdale in winter conditions, it is often blocked with drifts and dangerous.
Please do not use back road from Westgate as courtesy for the residents make sure sat nav does not take you on these routes!
Route Instructions
Travel to Daddry Shield – DL13 1NB then follow this route to DL13 1PB (3 miles). This will take you to the bottom of the ski club car park.
